Caffeine vs Water is built so we never see your data. There's no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. This page explains what the app and this website do with information.

The app

• Drinks and settings are stored on your iPhone, shared with the app's widgets, and synced to your Apple Watch directly. They are not sent to us or to any server.
• Apple Health is optional. If you allow it, the app saves the caffeine and water you log, reads your weight to set your water goal, and reads your sleep to set your bedtime and show caffeine-vs-sleep insights. Health data stays in Apple Health on your devices.
• Location is optional and only used for “usual place” alerts and finding cafés nearby. Place alerts are set up on your iPhone, and your location isn't sent to us. Searching for nearby cafés uses Apple Maps, under Apple's privacy policy.
• Notifications are scheduled on your iPhone and Apple Watch.
• Purchases, when available, are handled by Apple. We don't receive your payment details.

Deleting the app deletes its data. Data you allowed into Apple Health stays there until you remove it in the Health app.

This website

• Waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we store your email address and the date you signed up, only to email you about the launch. We don't share or sell it. Ask us to delete it at any time.
• No cookies or analytics. The site doesn't set cookies or use tracking scripts. Fonts and images are served from this domain.
• Hosting. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site.

Children

The app isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
